The Purpose of Life
Our lives are short on earth,
Wondering what it is worth;
About seventy or eighty years,
With many joys and also tears.
You may be wondering why,
So short and then you die;
Then what is the true intent,
Relatively of a small percent.
There has to be another goal,
Another purpose for our soul;
More to it after the last breath,
That life continues after death.
God holds a purpose or plan,
For every woman and man;
And it is never that absurd,
For checking His Holy Word.
We'll find answers in the Text,
Exactly what to expect next;
That will make it easier to cope,
For it is able to give you hope.
