 Penniluck's legacy

Not A Baby Any More

Today my lassie is fourteen
Yet somehow it doesn`t seem
That time has flown
And you`re now grown
But my dear I know it`s true
No longer two.
When I think back to you and me
You are just three
Sitting on the stairs so shy
But time`s went by
Not a baby anymore
Not even four.
Nor` five or six or seven or eight
Now sweetheart you`re at the gate
Of womanhood
Just like you should
Time moves on without a care
I stand and stare
At you with love and disbelief
Time is a thief.
Still if you use up every minute
Remember to put good within it
I don`t mind
If you are kind
You`re near a woman
That`s just human.
Ten you`ll never see again
Eleven - twelve is way back then
Thirteen years have passed you by
But I don`t cry
For memories are there to keep
So I won`t weep

Happy Birthday - love you dear
Have fun enjoy your fourteenth year.
