After a hectic life
a world gone mad
So many senseless deaths
never bargained for
Hate, greed, so much lost
Innocense, lives never regained
Sorrow beyond compare
Worry for our children as they grow
Fear, tears, pain
Lives gone wrong, not by any doing
Of Their Own
Sitting next to a river
the soft lapping of the water
I struggle so hard, to turn
my mind to delicate thoughts
The skip of a heart beat
at the smile of a baby
Soft flutters of butterflys
colors so bright, as they alit
A cool green forest
as yet untorn
Lullabyes in the dark of night
holding a loved one tight
Fat little puppies, so cute
licking you with a cold nose
Rainbows arching across the sky
after a soft rain has passed by
A full moon, bright stars
Wonder which ones are yours
Many happy thoughts long past
But never forgotten
Soft, happy, beautiful
Remembering
Delicate Thoughts
Always kept, deep in our heart.
