Time Passes Slowly
Time passes slowly,
With sad thoughts of you,
I write on these pages,
Tears bitter and blue,
The ink ultra violet,
To burn in your soul,
For I once knew a man,
Who made me feel whole,
He came like a comet,
Burning bold in the night,
The world watched in wonder,
As two souls took flight,
We flew to the cosmos,
Through brilliant blue skies,
And I found what was missing,
When I looked in his eyes,
He captured my soul,
His touch mystified,
And I just can't believe,
That this feeling has died,
I will go on forever,
Through eternity,
To find him again,
For he's part of me,
I go through the motions,
I live day to day,
And time passes slowly,
It's always the way,
One day, he will find me,
I pray he comes soon,
Drawing ever closer to me,
In a bright August moon.
