Because I loved you,
I promised,
To be strong,
I would remain here for you,
Always,
Because, I loved you ….
With you,
I wanted to dance on the breeze,
Watch a myriad of stars twinkle in a velvet sky,
With you,
My sun was golden,
And, I learned how to fly …

I have gazed upon a million stars,
Danced through hurricanes ….
The sandstorms of life left me un-phased ...
I wished upon countless new moons,
And I was strong for you,
I promised...
In scribbled words of prose,
Forever, and a day …

How to dance, and to love,
But forever,
Is a long, long time,
To dance,
Through a life, alone.
