Daddy

This poem is dedicated to my father. He was in the army for over 25 years. His last tour of duty was in Vietnam. He raised 6 children and loved us all till the day he died. He fought in three wars and lives in my heart.
I love you Daddy.

I miss you Daddy,
You were always there putting sunshine in my heart.
I still feel you near to me,
So close but far apart.
I love you Daddy,
You were the one that kept me strong.
I still feel you near to me,
As each day creeps along.
I pray for you Daddy,
Though I know you are safe and warm and dry.
I still feel you near to me,
And at those moments I must cry.
