"Mommy can't you see,
all the good inside of me?
I am God's child," she said,
as I tucked her in the bed.
"Yes I see the good in you,
I know my child your heart is true."
I kissed my daughter on the head,
then turned to leave and then she said.
"Then if I am why can't I,
go outside and kiss the sky?"
I felt the heartache coming strong,
and then decided to play along.
"But you can my dear sweet little one,
in fact I bet you can even touch the sun."
She smiled and then laughed at this,
and then my daughter stole a kiss.
"I love you Mommy," I heard her say.
I tucked her in and walked away.
Sometimes I remember late at night,
the wisdom of childhood, an angel's insight.
