I am one of the ghosts in the world,
people see me, but most times ignore.
I am the last of my kind, gentle spirit,
looking outward to some distant shore.
I am here earth-bound and yet,
my spirit goes unhindered by others.
I am but sigh, dream, illusion,
tossed amid fellow sisters and brothers.
I am phantom, butterfly, lost,
to all those would be casual friends.
Joyful in the thought nothing lasts forever,
waiting until this journey ends.
I wrote this poem when I lost a part of me. The most important part of me. I started walking 6 miles a day. Away from people, away from phones, away from distractions and I found myself again with God's grace and love.
For those who feel the pain, I feel for you and hope you can find yourself again. Susan
