Poetry For Everyday People

Private Jet

I guess I was drunk
one night and butterflies
were coming out my nose
flowers out my ears
trapped in tranquility
dusting off my shyness
releasing all of me,

I can't put down a word
untrue,

so I give it to you unfiltered,
knowing, I can, make it
pretty enough to bring you in?

but I can't,  I want you
lost in my truth, teasing my fantasy's,
smoking my stash, freedom, trust between
the lines, I think I can get you
to dance for me, the way I like,
ice cream lust, secret places,

vanilla lavender in the
air, can you smell honey honey?
can I soak your feet in diamonds?
wrap you up in love?  massage you
some place hot,
you and I need magic, candles, wine,
shadows on the walls, I wanna
taste honey off your sexy,
lick Bourbon off your belly, how
much game do you have baby?  can  you
fly now.
