God's Dolphins
We are dolphins
In a sea of God,
Yet cannot find Him – I
Think that's odd
For God is here,
He's all around –
If God were water,
We'd have drowned
Yet here we are,
Feeling lost,
Searching for God
At any cost
Including when we're
Getting sauced –
And God's right here –
Was never lost,
But Her dear dolphins
She won't accost,
Because She knows we, too,
Are never lost
We'll know that, too
When the edge we've crossed –
So yes, we are dolphins,
Immersed in God,
Who's up close and personal,
Who's far and abroad
And wherever we go,
Right there is God
