THE END OF THE DAY

THE END OF THE DAY

Come and sit by me and watch the sun
The day is over, it`s job is done,
We`ll sit on the rocks perched way up high
And watch the sun sink down in the sky.

As we sit here seagulls fly around
Their screech making a piercing sound,
The night is warm and the air is still
We`ll sit here `til we have had our fill.

Snugly I sit, my head`s on your chest
This is where my head just loves to rest,
I listen to your heart call my name
No two nights here are ever the same.

The sun is gone and the moon is here
My love for you is ever so clear,
The magic of the night casts its spell
We kiss to the toll of the harbour bell.

As night falls and the stars appear
I`m so happy I could shed a tear,
There`s nowhere else I would rather be
Than here in your arms besides the sea.
