 (Paris)  Musee d'Orsay

Waiting for the green man,
to cross the busy road.
Former railway station,
on the banks of the river Seine.

Walking through the square,
past the great animals,
standing there.
Huge railway clock above,
glass and concrete everywhere.

Beautiful museum,
filled with beautiful works of art.
Pissarro and Renoir,
Degas, Gauguin and Rodin.

How much money for a Monet?
I wonder.
As I climb the steps to see,
The Church in Auvers-sur-Oise.

A few steps on I meet his gaze,
as I look into the eyes,
of Van Gogh.

Beautifully haunting,
staring back at me,
sensitive,
mad,
tortured,
genius.
