Poetry For Everyday People
May I Wine You
I like what two glasses
of wine do to you, the
way you slip your heels
off, the way life falls
off your shoulders, your
smile,
I like what three glasses
of wine do to you, the way
you tease me, the way you sip
lips wet with wine, wink, toes pointing,
magic between us here,
your fourth glass, I put a
pillow under your feet, you
have full understanding of life,
you're not as mad at it or as afraid
of it, you just want the music turned
up loud, kisses all over your
body,
the fifth glass our second bottle, you
tell me all the things you never told,
use the candle to light a smoke,
I tell you all I know, we lean on
each other,
our nights together, our moments,
tonight we'll take care of each other,
safe, without games,
I pour.
of wine do to you, the
way you slip your heels
off, the way life falls
off your shoulders, your
smile,
I like what three glasses
of wine do to you, the way
you tease me, the way you sip
lips wet with wine, wink, toes pointing,
magic between us here,
your fourth glass, I put a
pillow under your feet, you
have full understanding of life,
you're not as mad at it or as afraid
of it, you just want the music turned
up loud, kisses all over your
body,
the fifth glass our second bottle, you
tell me all the things you never told,
use the candle to light a smoke,
I tell you all I know, we lean on
each other,
our nights together, our moments,
tonight we'll take care of each other,
safe, without games,
I pour.
