Different shapes, different size
Different walks, different lives
Some old, some new
Some worn all the way through
Each pair has its own story to tell
Each pair treads a path it knows not well
Everyday presents more adventurous steps
Everyday more unknown dangers to fret
burned by the sun, or soaked by the rain
Climbing to victory, or slipping in pain
Whatever the case this much is true
This journey is meant for just these two
One pair may gaze on another pairs day
And declare to handle it a better way
With a million don'ts and a million do's
But it's easy to judge when it's not your shoes
Some shoes will appear clean and free
And not have the same feel when on your feet
So comfortable in the shoes that we wear
Judging too quickly anothers pair
Imagine a room full of shoes
With a million pairs from which to choose
White one, black ones, yellows, and reds
Each pair with it's own path to tread
And without knowing what they will go through
You're ask to choose a pair that's best for you
Suddenly the choice is not so easy to make
However can you decide what pair to take
It's easy for us to fit someone else
Than to walk in that same pair for yourself
Just remember the thing about lifes shoes
You don't choose them, they choose you
