They hide the sunlight from your view,
and keep others from loving you.

You've succeeded in hurting with your attitude,
your cold heart and lack of gratitude.
Another would have walked by now,
but I always seem to stay, somehow.

Maybe I remember walls I built,
to block out feelings and the guilt,
until one day I came to realize,
the magic in a lover's eyes.

You've left me crying many times,
lost in musing and my silly rhymes,
alone to wonder at your kiss,
and dream of heaven lost in bliss.

Know this now I'll stay a little longer,
until the day when I grow stronger,
then I'll kiss you as I am leaving,
lack of love and senseless grieving.
