This is for my twin grandsons. Watching them brings back the most wonderful memories. Life is more beautiful through a childs eyes. I get to see it double. Granny loves you. Be good boys.
They played oblivious to the heat,
spades flying, shifting endless sand.
I watched as I had so many times,
as the two immersed themselves in some imaginary land.
God had blessed me double,
when the two of them came.
Each child brought subtle differences,
even though they looked the same.
I smile now in my daydream and remember,
two others immersed in endless sand,
building towers and shaping turrets,
raising castles in our own imaginary land.
