Repenting Prayer
Dear Lord Almighty God,
I am so sinful and flawed;
Fallen short of your glory,
No excuses for my story.
Your grace I do not merit,
And salvation to inherit;
Not deserving any reward,
Rather smitten by a sword.
Actually through my life,
I deserve all of the strife;
Filled with toil and trouble,
More like a pile of rubble.
But knowing of my trust,
And you are fair and just;
Help keep me every day,
From wandering to stray.
For within my firm belief,
Salvation will be my relief;
And ask that you to forgive,
In allowing to eternally live.
