Renewal

Shaman Queen in her feathered cloak
Reviewed the words before she spoke
Reviewed their rhythm then made start
Her voice at first low and barely heard
Then harshly strident as she stepped
The creation dance of the Sacred Bird
Traced the mating
The egg being laid
From which in time
The world was made
She danced its growth
From the birth
To that stage of
Perfect Earth
Shaman Queen danced and sang
Of that time of infestation day
That started the long but sure
Process of pollution and decay
She swung her cloak
Stamped bare feet
Sung her words
Of bittersweet
In supplication
Danced the dance
To give the world
A second chance
Fell to earth
In sleeping trance
In dreamless sleep
She could feel
The process start
For the egg to heal
Shaman Queen in her feathered cloak
Dreamed Sacred Bird rose and spoke
Danced spun paused and finally flew
Gave earth its start to slowly renew
