Being Prepared
Someday we all will die,
And we all ask just why;
The reason for that day,
When we all pass away.
Maybe violent or abrupt,
By another who is corrupt;
Or during an act of war,
While on active duty tour.
Could be without a sound,
And no one else is around;
During the night to occur,
A final breath to conquer.
I know you are not at ease,
When the cause is a disease;
But it gives time to prepare,
In talking to God in prayer.
No matter when it might be,
Prepare and be ready to see;
Your Father up in Heaven,
And ensure you are forgiven.
