My Sanity and Insanity

The Race of Life

Fall behind,
Slow your pace.
Give up now,
You can't win the race.

The race of life,
Where everyone loses,
So don't try and stop it,
It will only leave bruises.

(Chorus)
We're all going to die,
It's inevitable,
So why bother trying,
Life can't be lived full.
In the race of life,
We're all speeding up,
Waiting to die,
Our lives, so corrupt.

The rabbit and the turtle,
Don't know where they are,
Avoiding every hurdle,
The end can't be too far.

I know where they are,
Yes, that's what I said.
But it doesn't matter much,
Cause soon they'll both be dead.

(Chorus)
We're all going to die,
It's inevitable,
So why bother trying,
Life can't be lived full.
In the race of life,
We're all speeding up,
Waiting to die,
Our lives, so corrupt.

Now I've found,
I've crashed and burned,
Not one thing,
Has been learned.

Except for this,
Which I've taken to heart,
There's no use in trying,
To get a head start.

(Chorus)
We're all going to die,
It's inevitable,
So why bother trying,
Life can't be lived full.
In the race of life,
We're all speeding up,
Waiting to die,
Our lives, so corrupt.
