Heavenly Stairway
The rain is now done,
And can see the sun;
But a break in a cloud,
Acts just like a shroud.
I see a stream of light,
Beaming now in sight;
Almost as to be a sign,
From the Sacred Divine.
I had to stop and stare,
It looked just as a stair;
That went to the ground,
For those Heaven bound.
But more amazing to me,
As I looked and could see;
Astonished as it to seem,
People walked up the beam.
As the last one went thither,
The light started to whither;
Uncertain if eyes deceive,
But in God I truly believe.
