The Prince had finally reached his destination....
He found her cold and still on her throne,
how lifeless and beautiful she had grown.
A lifetime he could partake of her beauty,
but he held the locket's key, he must do his duty.
Around her neck he beheld the vile charm,
which had frozen her heart and caused this harm.
He pushed the key into the lock,
and the palace it shook and started to rock.
He saw it first deep within her eyes,
the key had worked, he had won his prize.
Her pale white skin began to glow,
and from her blue lips breathe did blow.
Magic had taken her as a young girl,
now he watched as the woman began to unfurl.
He kissed her hand and touched her face,
warmth and bright sunlight surrounded that place.
He was the Prince of Light, she the Queen of ice,
each of the lovers had paid the full price.
Through lifetimes together, till the end of their days,
to the Master of Love they will sing a sweet praise.
And they lived happily ever after all except the Witch, of course.
