 TIMES HAVE CHANGED

~ ~ ~ In Memory of my beloved Father, Marko - You are always with me ~ ~ ~

When you and mother got together,
you had a son, my older brother,
he and I fought like cats and dogs,
children at play, what more can I say.

You held my hand, I knew not why,
then you said, we will soon see mother,
you never let go, and I learned why,
that was the day, she had my baby brother,

As I grew up, your hand became firmer,
your little girl became filled with fluster,
for I could never understand,
why you left our mother land.

I am a woman, with no children,
though, I didn't bestow you grandchildren,
when you held your two sons' little ones,
I felt blessed, for they too are my little ones.

Times have changed, since you've been gone,
Still, I do my best to get along,
wish you could hear my plea,
for some day soon, I'll be with thee.
