"A Love That Used To Be"

You had always said you loved me.
I believed those words were true.
Now our love is over.
You've left me hurt and blue.

We made so many plans together.
How could you walk away.
There must have been a reason.
Why you felt you couldn't stay.

You filled my life with happiness.
I was your one and only love.
Now these years have passed me by.
You've left me cold and numb.
~~~
The time has slipped away now.
And I hardly ever think of you.
There's someone else in my life now.
And we share a love that's true.
