 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

How many miles must I go?
How many people must I know
to make my mark
in this world?

How many books must I read?
How many times must I do a good deed
to find myself
in this world?

How many times have I searched my soul?
As many times as the ocean waves roll,
trying to capture real joy
in this world.

Now I know what it is
I've been looking for
and it isn't behind any golden door.
It's only me,
accepting me,
living and loving
in this world.
