What If

What if the heart could only recall
our grandest, most loving memories,
welcoming into its chambers
only those uplifting times shared,
releasing the damaging pain
on a zephyr,
restoring the unshakable bond
so gloriously felt long ago.

What if the severed thread
once connecting two souls
was woven anew,
creating a sacred path
of mutual love and understanding.

What if a crytal heart
could cast its magic spell
and remove the curse
befallen us,
replacing old doubts and confusion
with trust and caring.

What if a simple walk by the lake
could erase all hurtful words
ever spoken between us,
flooding the soul with a symphony
of melodic endearments
so familiar to the ear.

Only if you loved me.
