Rebuilding Lives From The Ashes and Dust

It's been 5 years now since that horrific day

That continues to burn in our hearts and memory

All the lives effected by the cowards way

Trying to pick up the pieces and heal the pain 

Father God we that are still here cry out to you

To help heal the lives of those that still remain

Although the devil meant this to utterly destroy

Many perished on that day and many returned to pray

In an odd way it renewed hearts for you to restore

America stood tall showing brotherly love

Praying for peace and reassurance for shattered lives

Even as the years pass prayers are still sent above

Yes... September 11, 2001 shall be fresh in our minds

We have comfort in knowing you were there with them all

Lovingly catching each one that would stumble and fall

For you will answer if we call upon your name

Yesterday, today and forever your word is the same

Deliver us from evil for your name we proclaim

God Bless America for In God We Trust

Keeping our eyes upon you is a must

Rebuilding lives from the ashes and dust
