~God's Smiling Angel~  by Rebecca Mills (angelsmixedpoetry)
This poem is dedicated to the loving memory of...

 Jacqueline Courtney Rogers
Oct. 20th 1974 - Jan. 28th 1975

This picture was picked out for her by her loving mother Deb Rogers (nana5)
And the song picked out by our GREAT friend Marvin Lane (proseofpassion)

Mama, Your story is so loving and heart breaking. Your love for your little Angel just shines through every word you speak about her and YOU are keeping her memory and honor alive. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! ~HUGS~

She was a little Angel
sent from God above
The smile that had graced her face
filled many hearts with love.
Just a tiny baby
with such a special gift
Her beauty was amazing..
Others spirits she could lift.

Her time on earth was numbered…
Her visit would be short.
The impact would last forever…
Of this little baby Court
A few short months within her life,
this baby soon fell ill.
She's been gone so very long
but her presence remains still.

I regret I didn't know her
before she went above
I feel as though I knew her
from her mothers precious love.
This gorgeous little baby
who's memory lives on
Some 30 long years later…
long after she's been gone.

Perhaps God missed that smile
that perked him up so much
That perfect little smile
that so many hearts had touched.
He took his Angel back to him
where he cherishes her still
Where everything is perfect
but according to his will

The streets and roads are golden,
the oceans crystal blue
And the smile of a little one
so pure and perfect too.
Heaven's not so far away…
A perfect happy place
I look forward to my time there
seeing Courtney's perfect face

I can picture her sweet smile
the dimples in her cheeks
The warmth this smile brings inside
so wonderfully unique.
God's precious little Angel…
Daddy's sweet kitten,
 Mommy's little Courtney,
Jamie's Corky (he was smitten).

The greatest little brother
He loved his sister so
He helped to care and comfort her
(big brothers always know)
But heaven just felt empty
without her smile there
So God called her to come home…
this just didn't seem fair

But God knew on earth her smile
would be limited to few
When there was so very many…
who needed to see this view
Imagine standing at the gates
of heavens paradise
With Jacqueline Courtney's smile
shinning beautiful and bright.

What a glorious welcome
for all who enter in
The beauty found within this babe…
This warm comforting grin.
I picture her there sitting
on her pillow by the gate
One day you'll see her smile too…
Tell me that won't be GREAT!

So you see God shares her beauty,
her perfect little grin
She's safe up there in paradise
securely next to him
God's smiling little Angel
so beautiful and bright
Waiting for her mama…
to again come hold her tight.
