First Day On The Psychiatric Ward

That's Jesus washing the dishes,
real name is Andy Hunt.
No longer fights with the devil each night,
thanks to the medication he's on.
Sitting over in the corner,
is Mary, she's been here for years.
Always got that doll with her,
eyes always full of tears.
The old boy watching the T.V.
That's George, killed three children
back in 1953.
Never any trouble now,
likes his cup of tea.
A word of warning,
don't ever turn your back,
on Sally.
She'll claw your eyes out,
quick as a cat.
Otherwise, she's a lovely lass.

Roger, the one wearing the woolly hat.
He'll be going home soon,
once he's stopped doing that.
Charlie is a regular here,
comes in for a rest.
His wife's an alcoholic,
he gets a bit depressed.
You'll meet the rest of them after lunch,
I'm glad you got the job.
I'll go and put the kettle on,
we're really not a bad bunch.
