Wasting Time
Time can be such a treasure,
Regardless of to our pleasure;
That seems to merely pass by,
Within a twinkling of an eye.
It just might be such a crime,
While you sit and watch time;
In allowing it to waste away,
Of nothing to do for that day.
Feeling that some time remains,
A book as your interest sustains;
While you sit around and wait,
And you wind up by being late.
But when it comes time for God,
In giving Him honor and laud;
Then there is no time to spend,
In prayers of adoration to send.
Time will come in having none,
To praise the Father and the son;
With no time for spiritual virtue,
God will have no time for you.
