Remembering, Remembering ....
Remembering, remembering,
A time once forgotten,
When new, youthful dreams,
Were somehow, misbegotten,
Mistakes and misgivings,
Desires and distress,
A victim of innocence,
No more, and no less,
And marching through time,
How the memory fades,
The people, the places,
A game of charades,
The playing of games,
Telling truth, telling lies,
They think that they know you,
But don't heed your cries,
They leave you, abandoned,
Bemused and bereft,
They can't see what's been stolen,
There's no sign of theft,
Just a vacant arena,
Where once beat a heart,
Remembering, remembering,
When did it all start?
