Listen to me people
I have a story here to tell
won't cost you a penny
for I've nothing here to sell
The sale has done been made
all those many years ago
by a man upon a cross
who gave his life you know
You don't want to hear these words
is that what I heard you say
well go ahead close your mind
and simply walk away
Its only you your hurting
by stamping out HIS name
closing off your heart and mind
like its some old silly game
Shun him now in public
chase him from our schools
you crucified him once
what a bunch of fools
You don't realize what you did
what your doing now today
what'll it take to wake you up
your sleeping your life away
Laugh go on I heard you
or mock and curse real loud
you think it makes you look good
you stand out in a crowd
Well that crowd now is thinning
where are you going to stand
alone and forsaken
or take Jesus by the hand
What a shame it'd be
to leave you here alone
open up your eyes today
before your chance is gone
You wonder why I'm testifying
because your standing here
you haven't turned and walked away
the truth must be coming clear
Like those sands in the hour glass
so goes the days of our lives
it can't be rolled back over
only the meek survives
You're whole life's ahead of you
did I hear you right
should that life be cut short
will you have paradise in sight
Just get down on your knees
that's all you have to do
Jesus will forgive
and send His love to you
You ask why I bother
even spreading His Holy word
its for moments just like this
when I know my voice was heard
