Turning Forty!
Forty isn't fifty,
It isn't old or young.
It's sort of in the middle
When you haven't lost or won!
Forty isn't twenty,
It's multiplied by two,
When you have half the energy,
But twice as much to do!
Forty isn't eighty,
Your'e only half way there.
You still have all your pearly teeth
And nearly all your hair!
Forty isn't thirty,
Your'e more mature and slow.
Your life has found it's rhythm
But your kids are on the go!
Forty isn't ninety,
You're still cute and neat,
With quick and clever brain waves
And daring dancing feet!
Forty's filled with flavour,
It's subtle, sweet, yet strong.
Relish it and roll it
And let it rock along!
Joy Weare.
23rd September, 2006.
