When I heard the news I couldn't believe it
This kind of news makes me really so very glad
So early this morning it sent me jumping out of my bed with pure joy
There's no reason in this world that this news could make me sad
It was all over the radio and heard it all over the morning news
They just said it and repeated over and over more than a dozen times
It seems that the news people had it all stuck in their mouth
But it doesn't bother me at all they can rephrase it all even in a rhyme
When I first heard the news I thought I was still in my bed only dreaming
Because this is the best news that I have had for a long time in many days
I am so happy for this news and to celebrate I'll just go back to sleep
Because today there's no school they just said that today is a holiday.
