Poetry For Everyday People

Young Thinkers

I dig
your beat-up
car with the
hanging, still
working tale light,

I know
point A to
point B, four wheels,
your mind occupied
with much more, feeling
you can change it all,

your jeans
your faded flowers
on your faded T-shirts,
flip flops, notebooks,
books, wide eyes, heart
open, mind open,

I am deeply
in touch with
that.
