A Grazed KneeLife was so much easier when the most pain you felt was a grazed knee Mummy would come running over and kiss it better for me She'd tell me to stop my tears to be brave and to be strong She'd tell off that naughty floor and that was it the pain was gone! No more tears, and no more pain as if it had never actually been Mummy just took me inside and wiped the graze clean She put a plaster over it and told me that it would mend Then I'd go off running again playing with a friend If only it was as easy now when you feel pain, you surely must agree That life was so much easier when the most pain you felt was a grazed knee 27/09/06 Copyright ©2006 Emma Marie Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
