If you really listen
The whole world is screaming
Their secrets
Everyone secretly desires
To be heard
To not suffer their silence
That God may
Per chance
Be listening
Yet when someone actually hears
We are frightened
We feel threatened
How dare you know
How dare you hear
Attack
Defend
Attack
Why do we do this madness?
Invite the world to discover us
Then recoil when they do?
Watch who the accusers attack
It speaks volumes about themselves
Not really those whom they attack
Watch who makes them defensive
It speaks volumes about what they fear
Watch what riles them
It speaks volumes about what they judge
Not that which they think,
But what they loathe in themselves
So watch what you find offensive to you
For it speaks loudly
Of your own weakness
Than mine
So watch for what angers you
For it speaks loudly
Of your own inner beast
Than of Mine
So watch for what you say
You are a victim of
For it speaks loudly
Of what you give away
Your power to,
Not of what is robbing me of mine.
For when you try to enlighten me
Look not in my eyes
Look in a mirror
For the enlightened mind
Is at peace
And seeks not to chance others
But to love and accept them
To forgive them
To embrace them
To empower them in the seed
Of the divinity all human beings hold within
All else,
Is your fear
Projected onto others.
So if you feel these other things,
Blame not anything
Outside of yourself
For what you
Do not have within
You will never find
Outside yourself.
Have peace if you want
Have it not if you want
There is only one you,
All else
Is a conversation
With yourself.
