Kicking the Habit
We are all burdened with sin,
And come short of His glory;
Being cluttered deep within,
Not even fitting that category.
In carrying so much weight,
It causes us to slow down;
As it makes us always late,
Resulting in wearing a frown.
Sin can act just like a snare,
As the Tempter baits the lure;
In finding yourself in his lair,
And can not find an exit door.
Since it is also an addiction,
Sin will cause you to crave;
Impulsive desire of habituation,
And making you as its slave.
It does not have to be that way,
If willing to confess onto God;
He builds trust so not to stray,
Cleansing where you are flawed.
