Look After You
Look After You
Look after you
I will gladly do
because after all
I would be nowhere without you
sing the song gently inside the wind
changes come and I am still yours again
you belong to me
and I am part of the dream
our hands met just like our eyes
gripping us in the here and now
joy and pain
on two opposite sides of the spectrum
but our bond is tight
you look after me
I look after you
oh the heat is rising
in the devil's quarters
I feel the ripple of skin
as the four walls close in
but I know I have a partner
one that will fight
for me in the darkness
and anytime you need a rope baby
you know I will be right there
so you grab me
I grab you
a team of unity
has formed in our reflections
a smile from your lips
lets me know
all will be okay
and one day
when the sun shines down on us
when the time seems to slow a bit
when our son is grown
a man of his own
the journey I look forward to recalling
the bumps, the bruises
the laughter, the joy
you are my spark
you are my fuse
the chords of our love
blend so well together
that is what happens
when you are part of a great team
because you got me
and I got you
