The waters of the river singing along
Flows towards the sea swiftly and strong
Through the countryside weaving and wending
From its mountain birth place along its path never ending
Its voice sings out, "I am quickly flowing by
Sometime you will look and my riverbed will be dry
Take heed of this message that to you I am commending
There is nothing in this life that is never ending
Forever it seems I have flowed towards the sea
The billows of its waves have swallowed up me
Like the river of souls that are always descending
To the ocean of death, in a flow never ending
See how my waters quickly rush on
Its droplets; like your souls; passing and then gone
In the flood of life's stream that surely is sending
Each one to an eternity that is never ending
Someday my waters will dry off this earth
And the mountains will be gone; the place of my birth
Then all of you sinners whose souls needed mending
Will meet with Almighty God; who is never ending
There is the river of life that will forever flow
For all those who repented and Jesus they did know
And joyful will be their song as to Heaven they are ascending
To the portals of Glory and a home that's never ending
Take you heed then of my fast flowing water
Look at me passing by and consider the matter
If through sin, God, you are still offending
By rejecting His grace and love never ending
That the river of your life is flowing like me
Soon you will reach the destiny of deaths dark sea
Your choice about God now when you know this is pending
The consequence of it will be with you never ending"
