Self-Pity
We have a tendency to complain,
Of things that been done in vain;
When it just does not seem right,
As to the way that you had might.
Or someone has done you wrong,
And it causes agony to prolong;
Resulting in a feeling of self-pity,
With no sympathy from your plea.
Feeling sorry one self is a claim,
That just only adds more shame;
To be self inflicted pain you suffer,
That merely makes living tougher.
Anytime that you have a doubt,
And you just can not figure it out;
Take it onto the Lord in prayer,
Before it causes more despair.
Do the way as Jesus has said,
Rise up and take up your bed;
Walk away and sin no more,
Worse things may be in store.
