The blind of eye that could not see
From awful darkness would be free
And sick of mind and halt and lame
Called upon His holy name
And those who longed to hear
An echoing sound within their ear
With pleading eyes the dumb of speech
Joined with those who tried to reach
To touch the Master's garment hem
And trust His power for healing them
When hope in others there was none
There was life and healing in God's own Son
We come o' Lord for deaf and blind
And dumb of speech and sick of mind
From broken hearts to you appealing
Needing thee Lord for thy healing
Jesus; who knew they longed so much
Stretched forth His hand with healing touch
Cured not only body but healed the soul
For He said; thy faith hath made thee whole
So many that are blessed with health
Seek their treasure in this world's wealth
The works of our hands have gained so much
What need we of the Physicians touch?
The blinded eye does not want to see
Their sinful soul black as can be
And many that turn a deafened ear
The Gospel message not wanting to hear
Needing thee; I called your name
The One who healed the deaf, blind, dumb and lame
Needing thee to wash away
The sin that held me in its sway
Needing thee for every breath
Until I close my eyes in death
Thank you Lord for letting me see
That for life eternal I needed thee
