What is Love?

Does it come slowly from the start?
a quaint, sincere and loving heart.
one that knows just how it feels,
real love, how it appels.
What is it like? I do not know,
how normal love is suppose to go.
Is it one caring right from the start,
continually ongoing and never to part.
What does it mean? How can one tell?
my feelings of love aren't known so well.
