I Believe In You

I stood on the mountain top,
exhausted from contentions and pains,
needing rest and to stop,
an urge nags me to call out Your name.

I search the sky,
seek Your face in vain,
Why don't I see Your face and eyes,
calling out, release this anguish causing me pain.

You're out there -- ready to forgive,
I beseech You for pity and a chance to be free,
eradicate this load causing me not to believe,
grant me the aspirations to live for thee.

Teach me to accept Your gifts,
Lord, I know thou art good and forgiving,
have mercy as I call out for a lift,
send Your light to encompass my being.

Psalm 86:5
