SPIRITUALITY


God is love
That's what I believe
He's always here in me
He'll never leave

When I'm afraid
He's by my side
He knows the pain
I try to hide

Or feeling happy
He is there
I pray to him and sing to him
I have faith that he cares

At night I say
Psalms twenty-three
Or the Lord's Prayer
Comes over me

As I pray
Forgiveness is what I find
Because God is love
And love is patient and kind

He who loves God
Must love his fellow man
If he cannot love who he sees
He can't love God, unseen, who understands

He understands this woman's faith
When despair and doubt are all around me
He says let go and let me
And when I do his love surrounds me

When death is knocking at the door
He lets me hold those dying hands
Through me he works with loving care
My being a nurse was in his plans

He has other plans for me
As each new day arrives
God is love that's what I say
And spiritual love survives.
