So dark the night before the rising sun
Lost are the drug souls to death's roaming hands
In the darkest cornors of the underground they hide
Veiled by the decays of their drugs demands
Broken dreams live in their tormented mind
Peace sought only at the expense of a needle's point
Deep desires exist to hide behind shame's ugly shroud
while gladly passing on each other's killer "joints"
A new day dawns for few without a hope
Of ever breaking free from drug's shackled chains
The night's black depths hold them close within
Bloodshot eyes blinded by withdrawal's pains
Is it the need to terminate life's rushing force?
To end the thrubbing pulse of life's eager flow?
I don't know as were they aware of hell's black pit
They would scream for a chance
to see heaven's glow
