Absent Minded

The secret passage

Deep within the catacombs
down ancient halls
down the winding staircase
behind deafened midnight calls

There is secrecy
shadowed clandestine
An open book of magic
promised mystery

A poisonous mirror
reflection decievingly cold
turning away with distorted vision
An oracle promising hidden gold

A book Glamorously full
without a word written on any page
a forgotten absent mind
stumbling through the darkwood maze

There in the milky twilight
the moon upon the pond
a key beneath the surface
made of silver and bronze

A new found motive
conveying innocence
walks away intelligent
controlled by ignorance

To the top of the tower
a stairway never seen before
a book claked by candle lit shadow
an oracle promising something more
