Heart Of The Matter

I See You Smile

What is this life if not a game,
Dog eat dog the wolves untamed,
A bitter sweetness, happy tears,
Wasting time and wasting years.

Joy and pain, a sweet refrain,
Time to try it, once again,
Do it now, just write a letter,
Call you dear, I hope you're better.

Feeling good and standing ground,
Perhaps to catch you next time round,
Go full circle, just rotating,
From the dark, love infiltrating,

The sweetest voice, escapes your lips,
I touch it with, my fingertips,
Fill my soul with deep desires,
And from this moment,
Love transpires.

Head to head and face to face,
No others may invade our space,
You and I alone, as one,
Smiling now with hearts undone.

Welcome love, I missed you so,
Will you really choose to go?
No strings attached, please stay awhile,
I'm glad you're back, I see you smile.
