Ten Twisty Tadpoles
Ten twisty tadpoles
Going out to dine,
One lost his appetite
And then there were nine!
Nine twisty tadpoles
Looking for a date,
One lost his patience
And then there were eight!
Eight twisty tadpoles
Gobbling up devon,
One got a stomach ache
And then there were seven!
Seven twisty tadpoles
Skimming through the sticks,
One got a splinter
And then there were six!
Six twisty tadpoles
Ready for a dive,
One got a nasty shock
And then there were five!
Five twisty tadpoles
Swimming to the shore,
One lost direction
And then there were four!
Four twisty tadpoles
Smiling at a bee,
One got a tiny sting
And then there were three!
Three twisty tadpoles
Searching for a shoe,
One got tangled in the lace
And then there were two!
Two twisty tadpoles
Twirling in the sun,
One got heat stroke
And then there was one!
One twisty tadpole
Sitting on a log,
Looked at his reflection
And found he was a frog!
Joy Weare.
