THAT SECRET GARDENThe secret garden is a place I know It's in my mind Where you take me down in flowers and make love to me real slow It's so easy for me to find I walk along a pathway When you smile at me Or when I feel acknowledged The gate on this garden swings free Lightening fast I'm in there With plants of every kind Where there is no worry or care That secret garden in my mind We're the only two that know about it I've planted it for us No one else will ever know about it We can keep it secret, friend I trust You know the names of all the plants They are colorful and lush I grew them all for you Because on you I have such a crush In that garden fall never comes Nothing ever withers and dies Nothing ever goes away There's never any tears to cry The sun is always shining The temperature is 80 degrees There is no strife or whining It's just the place where you I please The weeds there are sweet tasting They make you feel so high You just have to suck them slowly Then they make you fly Fly all around the secret garden See it's beauty for miles and miles When we're there there is no need for pardon Just you and me and plants and smiles So if you're feeling tired and lonely Take a journey in your mind To the secret garden grown for you only Where you can smile and feel just fine. 9/21/1994 cj Vote for this poem
